When my partner here at MamaDrama, Holly Rosen Fink, told me we’d be working with a Jurassic park, I couldn’t imagine what she was talking about. I pictured dino-themed roller coasters or actors dressed in purple Barney costumes. I never expected that we’d be inviting our favorite bloggers to enjoy an entire park filled with life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs designed and created by the world’s leading robotics, designers and paleontologists. My kids, ages eight and three, were completely fascinated and blown away by the moving T-Rex (there are two of them!) and Argentinosaurus (can you say ‘Ninety Feet Long’?). Here’s what some of our MamaDrama bloggers had to say about Field Station: Dinosaurs in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Amanda Gurell from The Mama Maven: “When we turned the first corner and came across the first few dinosaurs even I forgot where we were for a second and my dinosaur obsessed daughter was in heaven!”
Wendy Bradford from Mama One to Three: “where else can you get very close to moving, growling, shrieking animals that you’d never, ever want to be near in real life?”
Rachel Figueroa-Leven from Soap and Trouble: “I would recommend this fun dinosaur park experience to anyone with a toddler (that isn’t a total wuss). It was totally worth the drive from Manhattan to Secaucus.”
Rachel Negron from The Digital Latina: “Field Station: Dinosaurs! is a must-see family attraction that combines science with the incredible creativity of some amazing artists and teachers to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s thrilling, educational and super fun.”
Milena Barrett from Be Your Best Mom: ‘As a parent I loved the education aspect of the park, and even I learned a few things.”
Esther Feldbaum from Macaroni Kid: “Workshops, games and activities connect the story of the dinosaurs to our world today, giving new relevance to their lives and power to the tale of their extinction. Visit with a highly interactive 15-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex puppet at the Dinosaur Petting Zoo or T-Rex Feeding Frenzy, learn about the link between birds and dinosaurs and dig for fossils.”
Kerri Gristina from Raising Three Savvy Ladies: “A great day that is close to home. This outdoor park features so much for the family to see and do. There are life size animatronic dinosaurs around each bend and twist of the park. Everything surrounding you is made to seem like you are transported back in time.”
MamaDrama is thrilled to have the opportunity to promote unique events and experiences like Field Station: Dinosaurs and we’re happy to share the fun with our incredible network of influencers. Thank you to all of the dedicated and talented bloggers who helped us get the word out about Field Station: Dinosaurs.
